Guest Author Erin Jamison

Today I have the pleasure of having author Erin Jamison
stop by.

What Makes A Writer A Writer?

I have often pondered this question. I used to think that writers were these great thinkers of modern day time who personified the image of Rodin's statueque image of "The Thinker". My perception of a writer was so lofty, that I imagined even the most mundane things a writer could say would later be viewed to be prose.

Like anything, it's easy for some and difficult for others. One thing I will say is that writing is a profession just like any other and therefore should require study. It is a craft to be honed and one can evolve. Yes people, school is still in session. Perhaps you start out as a article writer and find within a few years you've graduated to novels that someone finds "prolific".

So, What makes a writer a writer? Can you pick out a writer in a crowd? It's the geeky guy with the bow tie right? No? Ok, it's the quiet girl who always sits in the corner. I know...it's the people that like to hang out in libraries. That might not be true either. The truth is that the person who becomes a writer is the person that has enough perseverance and courage to conceptualize a story that is entertaining in one respect or another and can see it thru to the end. That's exactly what I did when I self published my debut novella, 'Better Than 8 Fantasy'. I love romantic stories that make me forget about the world, gives me characters that I want to hear more about, and makes me laugh out loud. Better Than 8 Fantasy is offered as an e-book at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Xinxii, and All Romance Books. It's also offered as a print on demand book at https://www.createspace.com/3638203.

Here are more details for Better Than 8 Fantasy:

Nursing a broken heart she is totally unprepared to meet her would-be Latin lover in person much less at the negotiation table of a multi million-dollar real estate deal.
