A Holiday Paranormal romance
Part 1 – Dream Series
She’s a small
town cop. He’s an inmate
undercover. They meet in a dream.
Jennah Best left the
adrenaline packed life of being a cop on the edge for a more peaceful
place. She escaped a marriage that
almost destroyed her and now lives her life working for a small police station
in the town of Ridge. At her age, she’s
accepted that it’s too late and too much work to start all over again, until
she meets a man in a dream...
While young, Dominic Palmer has always proven
he can get the job done. Or at least, that
was the case before he accepted a job and agreed to go undercover as an inmate. When months go by and there’s no word from
his outside contact he wonders if he’s been left on the inside for good. He’s fighting to stay alive and keep his
sanity, but finds himself completely distracted by a mysterious woman he met in
a dream...
Excerpt :
The nerve of
that man! Why won’t he just accept
things and go away? She paced back
and forth, trying to control the frustration that was pumping through her. Every time she saw him, every hurt moment
came flooding back to her and she just wanted him gone. She wanted to move on and live her own life
and try her damndest to be happy!
“Jennah?”
She spun around, expecting someone to be behind
her. There was no one there. Was that
Dominic’s voice? Oh no, she was
hallucinating now! Should she call her
doctor? Maybe the stress had finally
caught up to her. Was she going to end
up spending her holidays alone in the psych ward?
“Jennah, why
are you so upset?”
She squeezed her eyes shut. I am not hearing voices! I am
not losing my mind!
She heard his deep chuckle. “No,
you’re not losing your mind. This is
really happening. I should have told
you, but in our dream...it’s not really a dream. We’re connecting.”
Her eyes flew open.
What? “What?” She stood perfectly
still, waiting to see if she could hear him again.
“I can
explain it better later. I just picked up on how upset you were...”
She squinted.
“Picked up? How?
How are you inside my head when I’m completely awake? How can we talk
inside my head?”
She heard him chuckle again. “Inside
mine, as well. I don’t have time right
now. Are you all right?”
She laughed out loud, not knowing if he would hear
it in her head too. “Clearly not! I’m talking to a man from my dream inside my
head while I’m wide awake standing in the locker room at work!”
“Jennah...”

Cover and pictures
I have the last cover for the Hidden Senses Trilogy! Inner Reflections will be out in January.
More details for Inner Reflections later.
Here's where I'm at with NaNoWriMo (I'm slightly ahead of the game- for now)
I was using the title Cafe Serenity for this book, but I've been told there is actually a real place with that name so now I'm pondering new titles for this ... A Piece of Serenity is a possibility
I also have a few new pictures for my early morning drive. At first I wasn't happy that I'd have to do this drive anywhere from 5:30-6:30 every day but the return trip has turned into the opportunity of getting to see some pretty spectacular sunrises.
Okay, this one was a bit dark
It's like a new canvas every day
And now I need to get back to the story...

November update
Most of you probably know by now that each year for the month of November I'm AWOL while I dive into the world wide NaNoWriMo www.nanowrimo.org
My kids even know to leave me to my wandering around muttering character issues during this month (not that it's much different than any other month of the year in that respect).
So far the creation Cafe Serenity is going great - well, except today I found out there is a REAL Cafe Serenity out there so the new title is most likely going to be Serenity After Dark.
Aside from writing I have been able to get some great shots during my early morning drive each day.
I will try to post more pictures throughout this month so my blog doesn't collect too many cobwebs.
In other news: The re-release of In Our Dreams will be out next month from First Realm Publishing and in January the third book in the Hidden Senses Trilogy - Inner Reflections will be released by Class Act Books.
I should have covers to post shortly!
Now back to Serenity...

Schedule (despite internet issues!)
I have been trying for quite a while to update my schedule that is normally along the left side of this blog.
For whatever reason it's being totally glitchy today and won't let me do it...
So I'm going to pop it up here and when Blogger feels like being co-operative again I'll put it on the side.
(Facebook was a hassle today too *sigh*)
I'm going to be ALL over the place for the rest of this month with two books out so close together.

New cover, Coming soon and sales!
As most of you know new covers are my favorite part of writing.
I love this one.
In a fit of temper, Gracelyn’s only sister
curses her so she’s forgotten the moment anyone turns away from her. Only one
thing, at an exact moment, can break the curse.
After years of failed attempts, she is forced to accept living her life
completely alone. Her world becomes calm and predictable —until one
Halloween night …
one costume party …
and one masquerading man change everything.
Behind the Mask will be available in October. I'll let you know when I have the actual date.
In other news...
I have a special code for This Ring at Smashwords that marks the price down to 99 cents! It's good until October 9th.
code: SR53F
This Ring
Attempting to pick up the pieces of her life and heart, Emma flees to an isolated cottage on a lake. Not knowing what to do or where to start, she needs time to decide on her new life.
An invisibility curse has given Bryce forty years to reflect on past mistakes. The arrival of an intriguing woman brings him someone to watch, who just might be the first to see him in decades.
Together they may find their chance to live again…
Be sure to follow along with my tour stops for This Ring, there will be some interviews, character interviews and possibly free prizes randomly tossed out to readers!
Inner Reflections (Book 3 in the Hidden Senses Trilogy) will be coming soon from Class Act Books.
And the last bit of news is Twice Cursed is on sale on Amazon for 96 cents! I don't know how long this will be for though.
Maddy is the oldest witchling to ever attend the Hidden Cove Academy, having been cursed as a teen; she’s forced to have a solitary life outside of her own magical community. With her magic so dangerously unpredictable, she rarely takes the chance on mixing with the general public.
From one harmless trip to a museum she finds herself spellbound yet again by an invisible boundary, caused by a three hundred year old curse, dictating that Maddy must stay close to the stunningly sexy Colin.
Being stuck with a tall, dark, incredibly lick-able stranger can’t be all that bad, right? Until they discover if they get too close the spirits bound with the curse will take over their bodies ... at the same time if they’re too far from one another the curse will kill them both. Will the curse's secrets be unraveled in time or does certain death await them both?
That's all the news I have for now...

Summer's almost gone
I can't believe summer is almost over!
It's been a blur of moving, kids and somewhere in all of that I managed to get almost get caught up on my deadlines.
With my oldest visiting this week with the kids, I've had to put aside any new projects but this left time to work on synopsis's ... the one thing I loath having to write. I find it a very frustrating process, taking 200 pages of story and summarizing it in 2-5 pages. I usually start with a point form list of what happened in each chapter and then expand on that. Unfortunately I generally end up with 10-15 pages from this. After that I have to whittle it down and decide what stays and what goes. As the author I think all points are important, but sometimes they're not to an editor.
The good news is I only have two more to finish.
The bad news is I then have to come up with the back cover blurbs from there.
I think the synopsis and blurb are the reason I have completed stories sitting here for months at a time.
Is there such a place called Blurbs R us? Maybe a blurb writing for idiots book?
I'm going to have to look into that...
I hope everyone had a wonderful summer (I for one am looking forward to the school routine and those more frequent quite moments in the house).
Now I must get back to work so I have a cleared schedule to start a new project on the 1st.
I was sent this clock and had to share it. I'm not sure where they got it from, but I'd love a real one on my wall.

The race continues
If your following my FB page you know I've been working too much and trying to recover from a move - if not, now you know why I've been missing lately.
Getting ready for the move was time consuming and now that we're in the new house I have a task list of at least 100 things that doesn't seem to be getting shorter!
If your waiting on a reply, I promise I will get to it asap. I'm giving myself the deadline of the end of this month to get it all together and get back to some serious work.
I have a lot of posts and things planned for the upcoming months, so hang in and I'll see you soon.
Thanks for your patience and enjoy the summer!!

Blood Hunter series by Marie Treanor
Maggie’s
Glasgow by Marie
Treanor
The vampire Maggie, heroine of my newest vampire
romance, BLOOD DESCENT (Blood Hunters 3) has become one of my favourite
heroines. She haunts the streets of Glasgow – my home town! – in Scotland, where
she was born in the 1920s and died in a World War 2 bombing raid. She’s had a
difficult life and a difficult un-death but she makes the most of everything,
turning dingy office basements and old, cold, scary crypts into delightful
homes – at least for a vampire of Maggie’s tastes – complete with running bath
water, embroidered bedspreads and antique furniture. She has a peculiarly
Glasgow sense of humour, and like many of her live neighbours, she’s incurably
friendly.
Maggie first appeared in BLOOD ETERNAL, the third of
my Awakened by Blood trilogy (the prequel series to Blood Hunters), when she
accosted and fascinated the convalescing young soldier John Ramsay who, in
BLOOD DESCENT, introduces her to my hunter hero Konrad – who immediately tries
to kill her!
I don’t live in Glasgow any more, but I do miss it. It’s
Scotland’s largest city, once the country’s industrial hub, and later a black
spot for unemployment, health and social issues. But it has a rich history and
culture, plus a unique spirit, humour and friendliness, all the things I’ve
tried to embody in Maggie herself.
So I’ve been checking out some of Maggie’s haunts in
old photographs. Sauchiehall Street is Maggie’s favourite stamping ground, so
I’ve included some photos of this famous city centre street from the 1920s, to
the present day. Once it was the home of large department stores and busy
theatres. It’s a pedestrian precinct now, full of shops, pubs, clubs, cafes
etc. It also has its fair share of beautiful and not so beautiful buildings.
Maggie haunts the area looking for blood and entertainment and she lives in the
disused basement of a nearby office block. Hope
you can imagine it as well as I
can!

Natural
enemies, deadly attraction...
Mihaela, a fearless vampire
hunter secretly haunted by loneliness and childhood tragedy, finds it difficult
to adjust to the new world order where vampires are not always the bad guys.
She's taking a much needed vacation in Scotland when she sees a little boy
being chased through the streets of Edinburgh. Rescuing him brings bigger
problems - two vampires from her past: Gavril, who killed her family; and the
reclusive and troubled Maximilian, gifted Renaissance artist and one-time
overlord of the most powerful undead community in the world. Maximilian once
saved her life and now needs that favor returned.
The earth moves for Mihaela
in more ways than one. From Scotland to Budapest and Malta, she races against time to prevent a disastrous,
vampire-induced earthquake and save an innocent yet powerful child – all while
fighting a dreadful attraction to Maximilian, her only ally, whom she can’t
afford to trust. For Maximilian, the hunter becomes a symbol of renewed
existence, as he struggles to accept his past and rediscovers his appetite for
blood and sex - and maybe even happiness.

Six months ago, vampire
hunter and inventive genius Istvan nearly died in the seminal battle that would
change the relationship between humans and vampires forever.
A year before that, he first
encountered sexy vampiress, Angyalka, owner of the Angel Club, favored haunt of
the undead. Istvan won that round, but when he recklessly seeks her out again
in search of the secret of angels, he's alone and so exhausted he can barely
stand, let alone fight vampires. Plus Angyalka's out for revenge, and very
happy to use his powerful sexual attraction to her…
But Angyalka has her own
secret weaknesses amd terrifying strengths even she doesn't understand. Their
battle becomes one of wits and sex, but when someone bombs the club, they fight

A
child is born...into the final showdown of Vampire and Hunter
The face of a killer, the
heart of a lost child…
Konrad once led the
legendary first team of Hungarian vampire hunters. Now, refusing to ally with
the undead, he goes his own way, slaughtering vampires across the length and
breadth of Europe.
The dying thoughts of one
such vampire send Konrad to Britain in search of a dangerous instrument
that might be just what he needs in his
obsessive war with undead overlord Saloman – a war he’s determined to win at any
cost. The only being who can lead him to the instrument and its current, evil
possessor, is sexy, mysterious, young Glaswegian vampire Maggie, who holds
herself aloof from her own kind.
Maggie sees much more than
Konrad’s anger and cruelty. She makes it her mission to reach beyond the
horrors of his past and find the man he should have been. Difficult, when he
threatens her heart as well as everything she believes in; and when her whole
being clamors for his body and his blood.
While journalists circle,
about to break the news of vampire existence on mainstream television,
Elizabeth Silk labors to give birth to Saloman’s daughter: and Maggie plays a
dangerous game that risks everyone for her belief in one troubled man.
About Marie Treanor

Marie has published nearly forty ebooks with small
presses, (Samhain Publishing, Ellora’s Cave, Changeling Press and The Wild Rose
Press), including a former Kindle bestseller, Killing Joe. Blood
on Silk: an Awakened by Blood novel, was her New York debut with
